Vinhos Norte

Vinhos Norte is in the heart of the Serra de Fafe region, home to the city of Fafe, known as the Gateway to Minho. The region lies between the banks of the Vizela and Ferro rivers and is renowned for its heritage and natural beauty. We can be found in the village of Várzea Cova, where in the fresh air of one of the largest areas of uninterrupted oak forest in Europe can be enjoyed. Walking trails offer the chance to explore the natural surroundings and perhaps end with a wonderful lunch of local cuisine and Vinho Verde. Veal roasted in a wood-fired oven reigns supreme in this region and red Vinho Verde made from the Vinhão grape provides the perfect partner for an experience celebrating traditional flavors. Sparkling wines and wines made from the indigenous grape varieties of the region complete the portfolio of wines that you can taste at the winery, with the winemaker on hand to answer questions. Watching the various stages in the crafting of a sparkling wine until the final product appears is also an experience not to be missed.
