Solar das Bouças

The first manor house was built on this estate back in the 18th century whose name, Solar das Bouças, refers to the woodlands and shrublands (bouças) found there at that time. Just 15 km from the city of Braga, the estate extends over 37 hectares and contains a restored historic manor house, with 5 suites and an art gallery. The country house concept is continued in the form of two comfortable properties, Casa da Eira and Casa de Montariol, that combine the simplicity, peace, and tranquility of country life with modern comfort and functionality. 

In place of the former shrublands, vineyards sprang up to replace the shrublands and Solar das Bouças currently holds a prime position as one of the most prestigious Vinho Verde brands. A pioneer in exports in the 1970s, it now offers several remarkable wines that can be tasted at the estate or enjoyed with a picnic in the vineyards or on a visit to the art gallery.
