Adega Ponte da Barca e Arcos de Valdevez produces wines from grapes grown in three major valleys of the Minho region: the Lima, the Vade, and the Vez. Our daily lives are shaped by our surroundings: the abundance of crystal-clear waters, the lush shades of green that fill the landscapes, and the unmistakable contours of the hills opening up into  the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Our visitors have much to enjoy.  -Little-traveled paths lead through vineyards tended by our members (we are proud to be a Cooperative Winery), where our unequalled terroir takes shape. It consists of sandy, permeable soil, and cozy granite outcrops, from the tops of which you can feel the Atlantic breeze bringing in the characteristic freshness of this Vinhos Verdes region. The vineyards stretch far across valleys and hills, so we invite you to hop into a Jeep to reach the best views and capture the best memories. Then, we recommend that you indulge in some of the local culinary delights, paired with the wines that are the fruit of our daily work, from the 100% Loureiro Bruto Sparkling Wine to the iconic and unmatched  wines from the Vinhão grape variety. For the more adventurous and fearless, there are kayaking trips, river rafting, hikes, or bike rides along the Eco-trail that connects Ponte da Barca to Sistelo. These activities are led by the winery’s winemaking team and/or by staff from our partner tour operator. Either way, you can count on a complete experience that includes landscapes, culture, history, and tasting wines from our portfolio, including DO Vinho Verde White, Rosé, Red, Reserves, Sparkling Wines, Aguardentes, hybrid Wine Beers, and IG  Minho wine in cans. One of the principles guiding our winery’s work is to carry on all our activities in a way that minimizes the impact on the surrounding environment by recycling, reusing, and helping to protect biodiversity.
